Practical services for approved members of the legal profession.

  • Colleagues & ReferralsFind participating colleagues for correspondent work, court appearances and other professional instructions. Keep track of your referrals.
  • Practice ResourcesRead member resources, practice notices and association updates, and save useful material to your collections.
  • Voluntary CPD RecordsRecord learning activities, supporting documents and hours, with records you can export.
  • Pro Bono RecordsKeep a private journal of your pro bono work and service hours.
  • Careers & RecruitmentSubmit vacancies for review and manage applications through the member careers service.
  • Member Profile & BadgeEligible members can request a CTLPA badge for their website and email signature after approval of their public directory profile and acceptance of the current Code.
  • Committee ParticipationRegister your committee interests and apply for published opportunities to contribute. Committee appointments are considered separately.

Some news and practice resources are also available to non-members. Newsletter subscriptions and public directory listings are optional.

How Membership Works

  1. Apply By 31 October 2026

    Complete the public application form by 23:59 SAST on the closing date. Confirm your email using the link we send you. No sign-in is required.

  2. Provide Your Details

    Include your professional role, firm or employment status, LPC number if issued, residential address, and contact numbers. Add your work address and number where applicable, practice areas, other jurisdictions and any committee interests. Read the membership documents and declaration.

  3. Application Review

    CTLPA checks your application and confirms the required documents and declarations. If approved, you receive an invitation to set your password. Member access ends on 28 February 2027. No payment is required.

Submitting an application does not grant membership. The offer has a fixed end date, regardless of the approval date. There is no automatic paid renewal.
